A candidate’s reference is helping you to make a good business decision. Honour and be appreciative of their time by only asking a few key questions that relate to the core attributes that you are looking for in a candidate. Listen closely to their voice when responding to questions –
You have a strong sense of what is needed to take you to the next level. Now is the time for action. It’s time to leap forward.
Pay attention to all details when considering a candidate to join your company. You will probably discover that they have some of the core attributes that you are looking for outside of the interview process such as their responsiveness to messages, their follow-up approach and their communication style. Take time
The past shapes your experiences and who you have become during your life journey so far. What’s more exciting is where you are going – to work on new projects, ideas and challenges instead of redoing what you have already done.
Know what you want to say, how you want to say it and what you would like to achieve. Communicate clearly and confidently. Be understanding and at the same time stick to your message.
Even when you know that you will receive negative news – it’s still surprising because there is this inner hope that things will change – that things will get better. Understand that some things are beyond your control and take control of the things that are within your reach.
Be patient when you want to reply to a message with a quick decision because the message received upset you in some shape or form. Remove emotions and take time to figure out the best response for you and your business.
